The college was established in 2003, fulfilling all the guidelines and criteria set up by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council, and the University of Dhaka.

The college is well built with hospital buildings on its land of about 4 acres. The 750 bedded hospital has outdoor & indoor facilities with good patient flow. Academic faculty is much enriched with senior renowned professors and also energetic dedicated junior and mid-level teachers. The college is also included in the list of international directories of Medical Schools like IMED, FAIMER, and AVISINA.
